Community Club kudos
The term Community can generally be defined as a group of interacting people living in a common location, organized around common values and social cohesion. For sociologists, the concept of community has caused infinite debate. They are yet to reach agreement on a definition of the term.

This year over 180 members of this community volunteered to work at the Community Club eat stand during the County Fair. They demonstrated their commitment to the common values and social cohesion that make a “community” such as Le Center an inviting and comfortable place to call home. Many of those who volunteer each year do so out of a commitment to service and loyalty to the community. Others do so because they enjoy the social interaction. Whatever the reason, most will tell you at the end of their shift that they had fun.

The money raised by the Community Club goes to a number of worthwhile projects including scholarships for our graduating senior class. In addition it provides a resource for a number of local groups and organizations working to fulfill their funding needs.

Thank you to all of those 180+ individuals who volunteered their time and effort to make this year’s Community Club fundraiser a big success. By doing so, they define the Le Center “Community” as a place we can all be proud live in.
