Coyotes majors defeat Jordan 10-0

LCC catcher Austin Buss is happy to be home after hitting a two-run inside the park home run in the first inning against Jordan. With the rightfielder drawn in, Buss blasted it to the base of the fence at the 346-foot sign and made it home standing up.
LE CENTER — Jordan didn’t have a chance against Le Center/Cleveland Blue Coyotes majors pitcher Kyle Ziebarth last week.

The hard-throwing lefthander threw a no hitter with 13 strikeouts and two walks as LCC shut out Jordan 10-0 in five innings.

Catcher Austin Buss had the big hit for the Coyotes, an inside the park, two-run homer in the first inning. His shot carried over the drawn-in rightfielder and landed at the base of the 347-foot sign.

LCC went up 3-0 in the second on an RBI single by Tyler Sietz, which drove in Dan Huber.

The Coyotes upped their lead to 5-0 in the third when leftfielder Derek El walked, stole second and third and scored on a balk. Then Brice Jewison’s ground out scored Joe Queen who was ht by a pitch.

Two more Coyotes crossed the plate in the fourth as Cody Hollerich beat out an infield hit, Cole Ward reached an error and Huber drove them both home with a single.

LCC ended the game in the fifth on the 10-run rule. Sietz and Ely led off with back-to-back walks, Queen reached on an error and two runs scored and Queen scored on wild pitch.
