Michael Rodger Phillips was a candidate for graduation at the University of Minnesota Duluth’s Undergraduate Commencement, Saturday, May 15, 2010, at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center (DECC). Phillips is from Cleveland and earned a Bachelor Of Science Electrical And Computer Engineering Degree, Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Cody Bauleke has been accepted at the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth for entry in Fall 2010. He was awarded a $7,500 Access Scholarship, a $600 Alumni Referral Scholarship, a $500 Dollars for Scholars Scholarship, and a $1,000 Miles and Orelle Bowler Scholarship. Bauleke, a graduate of Le Center High School, is the son of Pat and Deb Bauleke of Le Center. He plans to major in athletic training/kinseology at St. Scholastica, and to play football for the St. Scholastica Saints.
Stephanie L. Lafavor, of Le Center, is a College of Liberal Arts student at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus was named to the 2010 Spring Semester Dean’s List.
Mara Marie Von Bank was the name given to the daughter of Jamie Goettl and Steve Von Bank Jr.
Mara was born on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at Queen of Peace Hospital in New Prague. She weighed 6 lbs 15 oz and was 19 inches long.
Grandparents are Greg and Teresa Goettl of Le Center and Steve and Karen Von Bank of New Prague. Great-grandparents are Roger and Sandy Goettl of Le Center; Eleanor Hogan and the late Louis Hogan of Waterville; Joe and Bernice Meger of Union Hill and Rose Mary Von Bank and the late James Von Bank of New Prague.
Katrina Holiday, daughter of Rich and Joyce Holicky of Le Center was named to the second semester Dean’s Honor List at Concordia College. To qualify for this designation, students must carry a minimum of 12 semester credits and have a grade point average of at least a 3.7 on a 4.0 scale. |
